The hardest thing about living with another human is sharing the same space. I like things to be kept in an organized manner and put back exactly the same way. Christopher thinks he is very organized, that has been the great debate. :) But I am keeping him, so I had to find a solution! When we moved in our current space it is 1/2 the size we had before, and now we have no garage. We are bursting through the seams! First, I started purging. I donated my beautiful (huge) dining table when I couldn't find it a home, gave away bags of clothing to a friend at work and tossed things that I was to embarrassed to donate. :)
Now I am getting things organized! First, our super small closet:
This is kind of Step 1 for this closet, because I didn't spend any money, and used what we already had. I will update with my planned upcoming changes.
Next, I worked on our Pantry:
It was semi-organized, but I did find an apple in bad shape in there!!
I decided I needed some cute tags for this project, so I re-purposed the empty food boxes, and used some gift wrap (I have literally had for almost 20 years), and made pretty tags!
I also used left over ribbon from my wedding bouquet! So this project cost me $0! I used Christopher's hole punch, and my label maker & voila, it was "Fin"!
If you noticed, top right in photo, that is just a soda 12 pack box I put canned pasta in. I just added gift wrap on the front of it to be pretty. :)
I just recently heard about and Google-d Washi Tape, and I thought to myself, this would be even easier if I had some of that tape! But, since I didn't spend any money and didn't bring anything "new" into my small space, I am happy with what I did!
Christopher and the GiGi's have promised to stick to this organization, time will tell! We all agree it is much better than before!
So, we are planning a day at the beach! <3 Teresa
